Locals evicted from Dayr al-Zawr residential building after owner discovered to be outside Daesh territory – Life under Daesh

Daesh ordered the evictions after it discovered that the building’s owner had fled to regime-held territory and that he was actively helping the regime. Daesh has a long-standing policy of confiscating individual homes occupied by renters in the case of absentee landlords. However, the decision to evict several families from a residential building is a substantially harsher ruling.
