2018 Year in Review

In 2017, Iraq and the city of Raqqa in Syria were liberated from Daesh.

In 2018, the Coalition focused heavily on stabilisation activities in liberated areas and focused on extracting Daesh from the last areas they owned territory.

Below are a few highlights of 2018.

In 2018: 4 million IDPs were able to return to their area of origin, free from Daesh rule

In 2018: The total international humanitarian and stabilisation funding to help rebuild Iraq was US$1.06 billion

In 2018: Daesh lost over 99% of the territory it once controlled, and millions were liberated from its rule
