Spain

After many years of fighting terrorism at home, Spain offers the Global Coalition its expertise tackling Daesh militarily, impeding the flow of foreign terrorist fighters, suppressing its financing, countering the group's propaganda and providing assistance for the stabilization of liberated areas. Spain's Armed Forces play a key role in the training of Iraq's Security Forces, including its Army and Special Forces, and providing expertise in the areas of demining and countering improvised explosive devices.

"Islamist terrorism threatens us all. It knows neither boundaries nor religions. Spain is fully committed to combating it, which requires a comprehensive approach and a common effort where international co-operation is paramount."

Mariano Rajoy, President of the Government of Spain
