Norway are committed to defeating Daesh; contributing troops to assist in the training of Iraqi forces tasked with stabilising areas liberated from Daesh, as well as providing support to help ensure civilians in areas liberated from the group have a better future.

"Norway’s aim is to support Iraq’s efforts to ensure that the vulnerable civilian population has a better future, and to prevent the terrorist group Daesh from gaining a new foothold in the country."
